As delightful as Pepe’s articles are, his solo interviews are a superior sumptuous feast. A natural conversationalist and humanitarian with an expressive face and tonal inflections (only gifted to Latinos and Italians?!). He is able to say much more than in writing, both due to space and sensibilities/sources. We catch… Read more »

“…his solo interviews are a superior sumptuous feast.” So true, and so with Pepe operating at an almost spiritual level, and Maria talking of love and a journey to the light, we see the yawning gulf between the West and Russia. A gulf in which politics and power become almost… Read more »

brilliant morning conversation, best cafe au lait in months! my secret hope—pepe & finian have another conversation very soon discussing intel from all sides. 🙂 putin spoke of his childhood experience with cornered rats long ago, russia is well aware of the situation, it isn’t new but something well entrenched.… Read more »

Yeah emmersonreturn and AHH… what an absolute delight Pepe is to listen to. I love his description that the western hegemon is “suffering from dystopic dementia on a global level”. This is the only wild card, and it is an immensely dangerous one. Everything else is stacked against the hegemon… Read more »

@emersonreturn SO WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? I went back into these articles as I was intrigued and suspicious about the claims Alasdair Macleod was making regarding a change of plan within the BRIICS+ group to move away from the multiple commodity backing of their currencies into gold alone. Although… Read more »

great questions! certainly the transition or introduction is complicated. i recall posters debating why putin hesitated immediately integrating glazyev’s ideas…why putin kept (sp) nubulina. alistair macleod examines as clearly as i’ve read (which o/c means little) how the voyage might be undertaken. the argument begins with russia, china amassing gold.… Read more »

Re: “i recall posters debating why putin hesitated immediately integrating glazyev’s ideas…why putin kept (sp) nubulina.” The issue of Nabiullina and the tactics of the Russians are very interesting. Mercouris has said she actually performed admirably well. She stabilized and was quite agile in protecting the Russian economy in the first critical months of… Read more »

ahh, Nabiullina (ty), my feelings exactly. medvedev; an old ally perhaps also mentored by primakov, i felt libya was life altering; putin believes in both forgiveness & redemption. what astounds & provides great joy is the commitment of all to the greater good & love of humanity & mother.

A marker of the success of Russian dissembling (or fronting true believers who subsequently were forgiven and redeemed themselves per emerson) was the lack of preparation of the West for this world war. They would not have disarmed and deindustrialized prematurely, and be currently scrambling in such panic, if they… Read more »

indeed, ahh. i’ve spent long hours on a log @ the beach pondering this miracle, for it in fact it is. & against such dark supposedly invincible forces, yet, together this collective, i believe chosen all, devised, strategized, implemented, prepared meticulously & put into motion this great thing–which as casey… Read more »

ASEAN had to move out of the clutches of the West, get over its fear of China, appreciate it could actually control many matters in their region themselves and then sit with the superPowers like Russia on a comfortable/equal basis. It’s called maturing. They now can “lead” on some issues.

How much were former Anglo-American colonies Singapore and the Philippines playing spoiler role, or delaying tactics? Phillipines dragged to international western court its claims over China to parts of the South China Sea. Endless FONOPs also kept region on edge, a strategy of tension. However most of the delay could… Read more »

Yeah, I know Amarynth – frustrating as hell these measured steps. Nevertheless, the overall progress of Zone B is spectacular just as the demise of Zone A as it encounters a perfect storm is equally so. I remain very upbeat. For god’s sake though Lula – get together with all… Read more »

More good news Amarynth, as the boomerangs keep coming back and hitting the imbecilic hegemon behind the ear. These people are incredibly slow learners and just as it eventually strengthens the individual countries targeted, it will have an even more dramatic effect on strengthening large groups of Zone B countries… Read more »
